470 Junior World Championship
Riva del Garda

It was another great day for racing at the 470 Junior World Championship yesterday and the three races planned were completed successfully. The day started with a 7/8 m/s southerly wind sometimes increasing up to 9 m/s.
Throughout the day the yellow flag was there for all starts. There was only one general recall and that was on the last start procedure of the day for the red group. It was followed by a black flag start, but none of the boats were penalized.

In all groups the favourites were the main actors of the game. Croatians Ante CESIC and Ante KUJUNDZIC had another good day and have so far won all five races to lie first overall. In second place is the Polish team of Patryk PIANECKI and Jacek PRZBYLAK who have scored three firsts and two thirds. Just one point further back in third is another Croatian team, Sime FANTELA and Jgor MARENIC who are just one point ahead of the Australian and Slovenian teams who are tied on eight points.

The qualification series will conclude today and the sailors will then go into the finals.
