It was a sunny conclusion to the Yngling Revival and Riva Cup on Lake Garda and in the highly competitive open Yngling fleet, women's teams claimed all the podium places with gold and silver both going to Russian teams.
It was a sunny ending yesterday for sailors at the Yngling Revival and Riva Cup and the prizes were presented yesterday afternoon on the Fraglia Terrace.
The Russian skipper Ekaterina SKUDINA had a solid final day with a third and a fourth, enough to place her at the top of the podium - great preparation for Expert Olympic Garda which takes place at the same venue next week. Just one place behind Skudina was fellow Russians, skippered by Anna BASALKINA with overninght leader Sally BARKOW (USA) having to settle for the bronze after a disappointing final day. With only two points separating the top three this has been an exciting and nail biting event to the very last.
