Hobie 16 World Championship

At almost 3 o'clock in the afternoon yesterday the 18 teams in the women's category and the 30 youth teams were ready to start their 2004 World Championships.
Both fleets completed two races on a perfect Caribbean sailing day with 15 knots of wind and waves. The media team were joined by reigning World Champion Gavin COLBY for some on the water commentary and his perspective on the racing. Gavin will of course be contesting his title at the Open World Championship, which begins on Saturday.

Leading the women's category are Belinda ZANESCO and Nicky SOUTER (AUS) but with equal points with Marie DUVIGNAC and Pauline THEUENOT from France.
