Preparations for the ATHENS 2004 Olympic Games have now entered the final stretch, and an event to present the collector's special '100 days to go' pin will take place in Monastiraki Square, on Wednesday 5 May, at 7 pm.
Guests at the event will be Olympic medallists, representatives of Sponsors of the ATHENS 2004 Olympic Games, and artists. Many collectors, who are fans of the 'Spectators' Sport of collecting pins, are also expected to attend the event. The "Filoi gia Panta" ("Friends for Ever") band will sing for all those present, while a number of happenings are also scheduled to take place. The event will end with a draw for giving away more than 50 great gifts - pins, special collector's items offered by the Sponsors, and collections of EFSIMON COLLECTIONS, an ATHENS 2004 Official Licensee.
The two '100 days to go' collector's pins, one in Greek and one in English, will be circulated in 2,000 and 1,500 pieces, respectively, and will be available in shops for one day only. Collecting Olympic pins has now become an integral part of Olympic Games, with pins gaining the status of the most sought-after Olympic products.
