IOC President Announces Composition of Commissions for 2004
The President of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), Jacques ROGGE, announced today the composition of the 26 IOC commissions and working groups for 2004, whose role is to guide the IOC and Olympic Games Organising Committees.
ISAF President Paul HENDERSON continues with his seats on both the IOC Women and Sport Working Group and the Sport and Environment Commission. Paul is well known to the Olympic Family, having dedicated five years as a volunteer in his leadership of the Toronto Olympic Bid, for the right to host the 1996 Games. This valued insight into the workings of an Olympic organisation serves his role well, as an intense focus must be applied to ensure that the International Federations are involved partners in all Olympic Organisations.
He has been elected to the Executive Boards of both the Association of Summer Olympic International Federations (ASOIF) and the General Assembly of International Sports Federations (GAISF).
IOC commissions are annually. Further details on both the IOC Women and Sport Commission and the Environment Commission are available on the IOC Website by following the links below.
