Star South American Championship
Rio De Janeiro

With 24 boats from as far a-field as Portugal are currently in Rio competing in the ever-competitive Star Class Continental Championship. It is the old master once again proving his status at the top of the South American fleet.
Torben GRAEL and Marcelo FERRERIA (BRA), who admitted themselves that they had a tough regatta at the ISAF World Championship in Cadiz last September, are so far leading the hungry and talented pack with two victories in the first three races of the regatta.

They are closely being followed by non-other than Torben's own brother Lars, sailing with Marco LAGO, and with two Olympic medals himself in the Tornado in 1988 and 1996 Lars is not someone to be chased by.

Racing continues until Thursday 26 February when a continental champion will be crowned. Full results are available on the event website at the address below.
