The Bacardi Cup now has its own website where sailing enthusiasts can track the progress of their favorite Star Class team as they compete in six races from 7-12 March 2004.
Daily photographic images will be posted after each race in the event gallery. There will also be several 30-second video clips of the racing between the first on Sunday 7 March and the Friday finish.
There is a Race History with photos of former Bacardi Cup winners going back to the Cup's early days in Havana, Cuba, as well as a list of former Cup winners.
The Press Room contains news releases and fast facts about the Star Class. Daily results will be posted in this section of the website after each race.
Details of a special Bacardi Cup kick-off party at Touch on Lincoln Road, Miami is on the home page. The Tuesday party is open to anyone over 21 years of age and requires an R.S.V.P.
More than 100 two-person Star Class teams from 25 countries are expected to sail in the 77 annual Bacardi Cup in Miami, FL. The course is in Biscayne Bay off Coconut Grove and race co-headquarters are at the U.S. Sailing Center and the Coral Reef Yacht Club. Spectators are welcome to anchor near the course Sunday through Friday for a front row seat to the sailing action.
