The organizers of the 32nd America's Cup intend to communicate how many teams, if any, have submitted their challenges by the 1600 deadline, later on Friday afternoon. More details regarding the identity of the teams and the acceptance of their challenges will be released the following week.
As well as Alinghi and BMW ORACLE Racing eight other teams have been accepted as Challengers.
The full line-up of competitors will race in six Louis Vuitton Acts in 2005 across three venues; racing for the season begins in Valencia, Spain on 16 June, shifting to Malmö-Skåne, Sweden in August and Trapani, Italy at the end of September.
