ISAF Sailing Committee
ISAF Secretariat, Southampton

This coming weekend, 23-24 April, the ISAF Sailing Committee will meet at the ISAF Secretariat, Southampton, United Kingdom.
The main agenda items of the Sailing Committee include:

2008 Olympic Games - to consider technical matters relating to the equipment applying for selection for the 2008 Olympic Games and make any recommendations to Council.

Quick Release Trapeze Harness - In November 2003, ISAF approved that competitors must use trapeze or hiking vests with hooks that have a quick release system and the Sailing Committee will consider those currently available in the marketplace and make a recommendation on the date of introduction of the rule. Already on the Council Agenda for the 2004 ISAF Mid-Year Meeting, is the proposal to include the requirement within the ISAF Racing Rules of Sailing 2005-2008 with an introduction date of 1 January 2006.

Alongside final details on the Windsurfing Evaluation Event, proposed changes to the Equipment Rules of Sailing, progress report on the In-House Certification Programme, Technical Control in Construction, review of the ISAF Technical Committee structure and a review of the 200 Reports from ISAF Classes.
