Goals:

- Take my responsibility as vice president in the best interest of World Sailing, the international sport of sailing and its members at any time

-Strengthen and establish World Sailing as a competent and reliable governing body for the international sport of sailing which strongly represents the matters, interests and goals of its members towards other sports governing bodies, e.g. IOC and the public

- Assist to lead World Sailing securely into a successful future by innovative and trendsetting thinking whilst preserving and developing established values and practices

- strengthen sailing as an Olympic sport by
+ ensuring that sailing stays an absolutely fair and clean sport, i.e. free of doping scandals, and thus counts and is recognized as one of the Olympics most exemplary sports
+ supporting further enhancement of broadcasting technologies to showcase the attractiveness of sailing to a broader public
+ pointing out the compliance of sailing with the original Olympic Charter towards IOC and broader public, especially working on events and formats that represent the sport of sailing corresponding to the Agenda 2020

- highlighting and securing the environmentally friendliness of the sport of sailing

- espousing that Olympic campaigns will be financially viable (costs for material, travel and events)

+ gaining more control on equipment decisions and supervising them carefully

- espouse to reinstall sailing in the Paralympic program (IPC)

- work on better coordination and scheduling of World Sailing events (esp. Olympic and Youth) by
+ reducing the number of events
+ avoiding overlaps of events
+ developing a clear, meaningful, effective and easy to understand structure for events

- further develop worldwide sailing by
+ improving knowledge transfer and knowledge exchange between sailing, sailors, nations, emerging nations, fans and the broader public
+ propagate the diversity of sailing with all its possibilities, chances, disciplines, classes and levels of ambitions
+ creating and establishing pathways for "livelong" sailing

- further develop policies for coaches and race officials and enhance their implementation by
+ close communication with all interested parties and stakeholders
+ regularly assessing athletes', coaches' and race officials' needs

- using my longstanding practical experience as sailor and team leader e.g. ISAF Worlds 2011, 2015; Testevent 2011, 2015; Olympic Games 2012, 2016
