Entry to Puerto Rico is the same as for entry to the USA. It is the responsibility of delegates and observers to ensure they have the required visas.
Letters of invitation from the Puerto Rico Sailing Federation for committee members / known observers were available for collection from the ISAF reception desk at the Annual Conference in Athens November 2011.

Puerto Rico is unique in the Caribbean as one of the islands most visited by air travelers. San Juan's Luis Muoz Marn (LMM) International Airport is a major interconnecting point to the Caribbean. There are many nonstop flights arriving daily from several airlines, and direct flights from large U.S. airports.
Nonstop flights from the U.S. to Puerto Rico, including flights from New York (3 hrs. 15 min.) Chicago (4 1/2 hrs), Dallas (4 1/2 hrs) Los Angeles (7 1/2 hrs), Miami (2 1/2 hrs) and Washington, DC (3 1/2 hrs) are convenient considerations when planning vacations. Some airlines, such as American, Continental, Delta, Jet Blue, and US Airways, have several daily nonstop flights and some have weekly service. Many direct flights typically connect in San Juan or St. Thomas before heading to their final Caribbean or South American destination. Be sure to remember that nonstop flights are just that, but direct flights often make a stop or two along the way.

Iberia Airlines has a non-stop flight from Madrid, Spain to San Juan, Puerto Rico. People will need to check the dates for this flight as it only is non-stop on certain days of the week.

Los Angeles Airport (LAX) has one non-stop flight per day direct to San Juan.
American Airlines has the most frequent flights into San Juan, however, they have recently cut back on many of their flights.
Please be aware of the below information regarding American Airlines and travel search engines:

Upon your departure from San Juan after the conference, all passengers connecting through the United States must have their checked and hand-carry luggage scanned by the US Agricultural Department. The scanning machine is outside of the terminal just before you enter the airport. YOU MUST SCAN YOUR ITEMS FIRST AND THEN PROCEED TO CHECK-IN. IF YOU DO NOT YOU WILL HAVE TO GO BACK OUTSIDE AND DO THIS PROCEDURE.

Committee Members attending meetings scheduled as part of the ISAF Annual Conference meetings programme are not required to register in advance. Name badges will be available for collection from the ISAF Reception desk at the Conference venue hotel, the Caribe Hilton, San Juan, Puerto Rico. Committee members who are unable to attend are requested to inform the ISAF Secretariat.
It is the responsibility of all committee members and observers to ensure that they have both a valid passport and entry visa if required.

An ISAF Class may appoint one member to the ISAF Classes Committee Meeting taking place on Saturday 5 November 2011. There is a requirement for the appointed Class Representative who must have the approval of his / her Class Association to register by completing the on-line registration form below and submitting it to the ISAF Secretariat by Friday 21 October 2011. In addition, the name of the representative and the class they are representing must be notified by email to Norbert Marin in the ISAF Technical and Offshore Department by Friday 21 October 2011
On arrival at the Conference, appointed Class Representatives to the ISAF Classes Committee Meeting must collect their name badge from the ISAF Reception desk in order to attend the meeting. ISAF Conference packs and any invitations to social functions will also be given to appointed Class Representatives.
Failure to register by the requested deadline may result in not being accredited as a committee member and not receiving the ISAF Conference pack. ISAF reserves the right to refuse registrations from representatives who have not obtained class association approval.

Club Nutico de San Juan is offering free temporary membership to ISAF Committee Members for the duration of the ISAF Annual Conference. This will be issued on arrival at time of registration.
You will be able to enjoy the privileges of the Yacht Club on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday after 15:00, Saturday 10:00 18:00 and Sunday 11:00 19:00.

1. Pre and Post Meeting Tours

2. Castillo Tours during ISAF Meeting dates
Click HERE for tours operated by Castillo Tours during the Conference dates. These *tours may be booked and paid for in advance by using the booking form below or booked and paid for on the afternoon of the Welcome Party for ISAF Guests on Saturday, 5 November between 4 - 5:30 p.m. The Welcome Party will take place under the gazebo on the beach at the Caribe Hilton. The two tour companies being used will attend the Welcome Party and will provide information and assist with any bookings, etc.
* Please note that the Fajardo lighthouse tour and Ponce City / Coffee Plantation tour require pre-booking and payment as detailed in the booking form.
