The 2009 IFDS Disabled Sailing World Championship hosts competition in all three Paralympic sailing events: the Single-Person, Two-Person and Three-Person Keelboat, sailed respectively in the 2.4mR, SKUD18 and Sonar classes.

The Organizing Authority is the Hellenic Sailing Federation (HSF) and the regatta will be based at the Olympic Marina facilities in Faliro, Greece.
