| ISAF Committees are appointed by the ISAF Council under the terms of Article 63. The terms of reference are detailed under the ISAF Regulations, Part III - Committees. Commissions are appointed by the ISAF Executive Committee. Committees may appoint Working Parties to undertake specific areas of work for a specific period of time.
The new ISAF Executive Committee was elected at the ISAF General Assembly in Madrid in November 2008. The new Council members, appointed by ISAF's Member National Authorities (MNAs) were also ratified at the General Assembly.
