If you have submitted an Application, have received the decision of the Review Panel, and are still unhappy with the decision, you may Appeal this decision.
When To Submit An Appeal
You should submit an Appeal if:
- you have been granted a Classification Group by the Review Panel, but you do not agree with their decision
You should not submit an Appeal if:
- your circumstances have changed since your last Classification Group was assigned. Instead you should Request a New Classification (to do this follow the same steps as for Renewing An Expired Classification here).
- you filled out your application for Classification incorrectly. Instead you should Request a New Classification (to do this follow the same steps as for Renewing An Expired Classification here).
How To Submit An Appeal
Follow the instructions below to renew your Classification.
Step 1 - Login to ISAF Sailor using your ISAF Sailor ID and Password at the top of this page.
If you've forgotten your ISAF Sailor ID find it by searching for yourself using the 'SEARCH FOR A SAILOR' bar above or on our Sailor Search page here.
If you've forgotten your password click here to get it resent to your email address.
Step 2 - After logging in, click on 'Click here to go to Classification area' to go to the Sailor Classification area.
Step 3 - On the left hand menu select 'Submit an Appeal'. Enter the reasons why you feel the decision should be overturned
Your Appeal will then be reviewed by the Review Panel and a decision emailed to you within 14 days of submission.
Appeals can only be submitted against Completed Applications. If you have requested a new Classification and are waiting for the decision of the Review Panel, you cannot Appeal on the Application. Only once the Review Panel has made their decision and notified you of the decision, can you submit an Appeal.
