The ISAF World Sailing Rankings for 17 June 2013 have been released.

The World Sailing Speed Record Council have announced the establishment of a new World Record as Kito De Pavant (FRA) breaks his own Marseille to Carthage record.

Francis Joyon has shattered the singlehanded North Atlantic record crossing the finish line after just 5 days, 2 hours, 56 minutes and 10 seconds*.

It was a dog eat dog day to decide the 470 European titles but it was celebrations for France as they secured the honours in both events. Australians Mat Belcher and Will Ryan took the men's open title.

The 2013 Lightning World Champions are David Starck, Jody Starck and Ian Jones (USA).

The penultimate day of the PWA Catalunya World Cup proved to be a largely frustrating affair as winds of 5-13 knots teased the competitors for the duration of the afternoon - so despite several sailors checking the conditions - the wind never quite materialized enough to resume the racing.

There was no wind on the final day of the 2013 Etchells World Championship in Rosignano, Italy so the results stand and the title goes to Marvin Beckmann and The Martian.

Race day 5 at the 2013 470 European Championships determined the eight boats who will advance to Saturday's Medal Races. France continues to dominate at the top, with gold or silver guaranteed to the nation in both events.
