Race day 5 at the 2013 470 European Championships determined the eight boats who will advance to Saturday's Medal Races. France continues to dominate at the top, with gold or silver guaranteed to the nation in both events.

Kiteboarding competition shall be sailed under Appendix B of The Racing Rules of Sailing as changed by this appendix. Note, these kiteboarding rules are evolving. Organizing authorities are urged to download and use the most recent version. The ISAF Racing Rules Committee and the ISAF Windsurfing Committee would appreciate receiving suggestions for improving these kiteboarding rules.
