The World Sailing Speed Record Council have today announced the ratification of a new World Record.
RECORD: Outright longest distance run in 24 hours

Yacht: Orange 2

Sailed by: Bruno Peyron

Dates: 22nd and 23rd August 2004.

Distance travelled: 706.2 nm.

Average speed: 29. 42 kts.
