With only one race completed, racing started yesterday in a Force 2 at 7.15 in the morning yesterday, the whole fleet having been towed 7 miles South in a hunt for breeze.
At the first weathermark Carl Auteried(AUT) was in front of Franz Wageneder and György Wossala (HUN). Tony Clare (GBR) rounded seventh, had a perfect downwind far away from any other boat and was first at the leeward mark. From that time he sailed protect his lead. Wageneder got a second, Auteried a third place. After a short break the wind shifted from south to northeast. At 12.00 the start to the third race took place, and at 14.45 the fourth race was started.

In conditons between 2 and 4 beaufort Carl Auteried was unbeatable. With two first places he won the championship with a race to spare. György Wossala had two second places and was in front of Tony Clare who fell from second to fourth going into the last day.
