Gold and Bronze for Austrian Teams.

H - Boat World Championship
Traunseel, Ebensee

The Austrian Team of Stefan Frauscher, Peter Heininger and Thomas Linortner have won the H-Boat World Championship, only the second Austrian team ever to win the event.
Clinching the nine race event by six points from Dirk Stadler, Patrik Purin and Nils Ubert (GER). Fellow Austrian Christian Spießberger, Thomas Lackerbauer and Manfred Schinck were third

After a fabulous last days racing on Saturday in a near perfect force 3 - 4, Frauscher scored 6,3,8 and considered it lucky 3 races were sailed, giving him that vital extra discard, and the title of World Champion.. Never actually winning a race he achieved a consistant series, and was justly rewarded. Second placed Dirk Stadler could only manage a 25th in race eight, after being over at the start and having to re-round, and although sailing a solid regatta, with two other results out of the top ten, he finished in second.

Despite some windless days, the regatta was considered by all to be a great success.
