Chun Leung Michael Cheng (HKG) qualified for the Youth Olympic Games sailing competition by winning Techno 293 gold at the Asian Championships in Pattaya, Thailand, in April.
The 16-year-old took up the sport as part of an extra-curricular course organised by the Stewards Pooi Kei College in Hong Kong, where he is a student.

His local sailing club is the Windsurfing Association of Hong Kong, where he is coached by Winfield Zee (HKG).

Chun's goal is to win an ISAF World Championship.

A keen swimmer and basketball player, his philosophy for competition is, "Just relax and take it easy."
