Marina Maffessanti Competes For Jamaica At ISAF Youth Worlds

Marina Maffessanti will be Jamaicas representative

Volvo Youth Sailing ISAF World Championship
Istanbul, Turkey

The Jamaican Yachting Association (JYA) is pleased to announce that Marina Maffessanti will be going to Istanbul, Turkey from 8 - 17 July to participate in the 2010 Volvo Youth Sailing ISAF World Championships. Marina will race in the Laser Radial class.
Sixteen year old Marina is Jamaica's best junior sailor and is supported by the JYA and the Royal Jamaica Yacht Club.

Marina is one of 26 competitors from 12 different nations that have been approved for ISAF's Athlete Participation Programme (APP) which provides support for participation in the 2010 Volvo Youth ISAF World Championships.

It is the first time since 1983 that Jamaica is represented at the Youth World Championship.
