SEMINAR REPORT

An ISAF Race Management Seminar was conducted in Buenos Aires, Argentina  2 October 2009 through 4 October.  The venue was the beautiful facility at Yacht Club Argentino’s 110 year old club house.  Special thanks to Freya Mor and Flavio Naveira, our local coordinators.
We were happy to have visits from Max Kelly (Group M Council Member) and Carlos Diehl, who served for many years on the ISAF Racing Rules Committee.
The announcement that Rio had been selected for the 2016 Olympics brought cheers from all  delegates.
18 delegates participated, coming from Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay, Peru, Ecuador and China.  17 delegates sat for the exam, of whom 14 achieved a score that will qualify them to apply for status as an International Race Officer.
