| The Bay of Buzios is well known for its excellent sailing conditions during the month of July, when the 2009 Volvo Youth Sailing ISAF World Championship will take place.
July is the coolest period, when it is quite dry as well. The average annual temperature is around 21ºC, with average annual high of 28ºC and average annual low of 18ºC. The winter might be comparable with summer climate in northern Europe.
Buzios is well know for its strongs winds, but these moderate during the winter and in July the wind should be perfect for sailing.
