The ICCE Strategy 'Building the Coaching Community Across the Globe' has identified the development of a Global Framework for the Recognition of Coaching Competence and Qualifications as a core focus of its activities in the coming years. The Framework is envisaged as a reference point for national lead organisations; international federations and agencies; national federations in the development, implementation and review of their sport coaching systems.ICCE, ASOIF and ASWOIF agreed to establish a Project Group to progress the proposed Framework.
The International Sports Coaching Framework (ISCF) project group of the ICCE met for the third time in Madrid, Spain this February and after the meeting in Beijing it is hoped that all International Federations and other contributors involved will enable the ICCE to present a first draft of the framework at a subsequent meeting in London (UK) during the 2012 London Olympic Games in July.
The ICCE has partnered with Limkokwing University, Leeds Metropolitan University, Morrisons Plc and WDR to bring the world of coaching together under one roof during the Olympic Games in London. The 'Global Coaches House' will take place at the London based campus of the Limkokwing University with a daily programme starting on 27 July and continuing for the duration of the games.
