The 2007 ISAF Sailing World Championships came to a magnificent finale in Cascais, Portugal on Friday with the final three Medal Races deciding the last of 11 World Championship titles. Great Britain’s sailors topped the Medal Table, winning the President of the IOC Cup for the second time and finishing as the only nation to qualify for Olympic spots across all 11 events.

Stevie MORRISON and Ben RHODES (GBR) won gold in the 49er in the first of today's three Medal Races at the ISAF Sailing World Championships in Cascais. In the Women’s 470 Medal Race, Marcelien DE KONING and Lobke BERKHOUT (NED) won their third consecutive World Championship title, whilst Nathan WILMOT and Malcolm PAGE (AUS) cruised to victory in the Men’s 470.

In the first of today’s two windsurfing Medal Races at the ISAF Sailing World Championships in Cascais, Zofia KLEPACKA (POL) stormed through the pack to win the 2007 Women’s RS:X World Championship title in style. Ricardo SANTOS (BRA) won the Men’s RS:X World Championship title after an incredible finish to the day’s second Medal Race.

Sarah AYTON, Sarah WEBB and Pippa WILSON (GBR) won the Yngling World Championship title in the first of today’s Medal Races at the ISAF Sailing World Championships in Cascais, Portugal. Rafa TRUJILLO (ESP) sailed a superbly to win in the Finn Medal Race and take the World title.
Day 8: Gold To SLINGSBY And DROZDOVSKAYA

Tom SLINGSBY (AUS) has won the 2007 Laser World Championship title on day eight of racing at the ISAF Sailing World Championships in Cascais, Portugal. Tatiana DROZDOVSKAYA (BLR) won gold after an incredible finish to the Laser Radial Medal Race.

The first of the 11 Worlds titles have been decided at the 2007 ISAF Sailing World Championships. Robert SCHEIDT and Bruno PRADA (BRA) are crowned Star World Champions and gain a Gold Star, whilst Fernando ECHAVARRI and Anton PAZ (ESP) win the 2007 Tornado World Championship.

The first of the Medal Race line ups have been decided after day six of racing at the ISAF Sailing World Championships in Cascais, Portugal. Tomorrow the top ten crews in the Tornado and Star fleets will face off to decide the 2007 World Champions.
