The ISAF International Judges Seminar hosted by the Federazione Italiana de Vela was held in the spectacular Palazzo Fizzarotti in Bari, Italy on 22-24 February, 2008, graciously provided by Raffaele and Vera Marinelli.

Fifteen participants from 5 countries (ITA, GRE, SLO, SMR, USA) worked hard for 2.5 days, listening to presentations with the aid of ISAF’s IJ Slide Show, and going through a great number of exercises, including a Practice Test.

Credit goes to local coordinators Alfredo Ricci (IU, ITA) and Ricardo Antoni (IJ, ITA) for all the work they did before and during the seminar. With hotels and plenty of nice restaurants nearby everything was made as easy as possible for everyone involved. The hospitality of the Comitato VIII Zona – Puglia (the division of the FIV, led by Mr. Raffaele Ricci, that hosted us this seminar), and the Circolo Vela Bari made everyone feel incredibly welcome.

Even though the schedule was necessarily tight, the seminar was an interactive affair with many lively discussions on a variety of seminar topics. All fifteen participants sat the written test on the last day of the seminar.
