ISAF Rolex World Sailor of the Year Awards 2000
The ISAF World Sailor of the Year Awards 2000 were held on Tuesday 7 November 2000 in Edinburgh, Scotland, Great Britain. The presenter for the evening was Olympic Medallist and World Champion sailor Ian Walker (GBR).

Male Winner - Mark REYNOLDS and Magnus LILJEDAHL (USA)

Mark REYNOLDS and Magnus LILJEDAHL (USA)In recognition of their double success in the Star Class, claiming the Gold Medal in the final race of the 2000 Olympic Regatta and winning the 2000 World Championships. Mark Reynolds has competed in 4 previous Olympic Games winning a Silver medal in 1988 and Gold in 1992 with a different crew.

 

Female Winner - Shirley ROBERTSON (GBR)

Shirley ROBERTSON (GBR)
In recognition of Shirley's domination in the Europe Class at the 2000 Olympic Regatta, leading overall from Race 3, to claim the ultimate Gold Medal success.
