BROWN moves from his most recent position as Vice-President, Development and Communications at the Providence Continuing Care Centre in Kingston, Ontario. In that position he was accountable to the hospital CEO and the PCCC Foundation Board of Directors.

According to CYA President Dan SARGEANT, 'He is skilled in strategic planning, financial management, and fund raising initiatives. His most recent challenge has been to work with his healthcare partners to create a single joint fundraising organization, representing the interests of Kingston's three independent hospital foundations. At the senior management level, he offers excellent people and office management skills and has demonstrated much success in dealing with volunteer Boards. He is a family man and a sailor. We are confident that he will be a credit to our sport.'

BROWN will assumed his new position on 3 October 2005.
