It is composed of active athletes who are campaigning in the Olympic events, holds at least one meeting each year and has a direct voice to the ISAF Executive Committee, to which it issues recommendations.

The Commission may also forma a working group to work in liaison with ISAF to provide input and recommendations on ISAF Events.

The ISAF Athletes’ Commission is actively involved in the ISAF Strategic Plan to ensure the needs of athletes are addressed.
