World Sailing Speed Record Council

Yesterday, the World Saling Speed Record Council announced the official ratification of a new World Record, going to round-the-world sailor Jean-Luc Van Den Heede.
The ratification marks VDH’s second record after he claimed the single-handed, non-stop westabout round the world record in the winter of 2003/2004.

RECORD: Cowes to Dinard, monohull and singlehanded.
